Perched high above the Sunshine Coast at Dulong Lookout, the early morning reveals a breathtaking panorama stretching across the hinterland towards the distant coastline. As the darkness of night slowly gives way to a new day, the horizon begins to glow with brilliant shades of gold, amber and warm orange.
Captured in the peaceful moments before sunrise, Coastal Ember showcases the remarkable beauty of the Sunshine Coast awakening beneath an endless sky. The deep blue tones of the fading night gradually surrender to a radiant golden horizon, creating a striking contrast between warmth and coolness.
Standing at the edge of the lookout, I was captivated by the extraordinary stillness of the morning. Below, the landscape stretched into the distance, with rolling hills, scattered homes and distant coastal landmarks slowly emerging from the shadows. The timber viewing platform extended towards the horizon, creating a natural pathway into the magnificent scene unfolding beyond.
What made this moment particularly special was the simplicity of the light. Before the sun had even appeared, its golden glow illuminated the horizon like a glowing ember, casting a sense of warmth and anticipation across the landscape.
